DESCRIPTION:Speakers: LIGETI\, Zoltan ()\nI discuss results of a new
combined fit to the B->D(∗)lν decay distributions to predict the
B->D(∗)τν rates and determine the CKM matrix element |Vcb|. Past
theoretical and experimental papers neglected uncertainties in the
predictions for form factor ratios at order 1/m\, which we include. We
study in detail the theoretical uncertainties in the SM predictions for
R(D) and R(D*). We calculate 1/m and alpha_s contributions to for all
possible b->c currents\, which has not been available for all form
factors\, and allow us to determine with improved precision how new
physics may affect the B->D(∗)τν rates. Our predictions can be
systematically improved with more data\; they need not rely on lattice QCD
results\, although these can be incorporated. (This talk is based on http

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: HIROSE\, Shigeki ()\nThe decays B -> tau nu and B ->
D(*) tau nu are the type of (semi)leptonic decays with a tau lepton in the
final state. Owing to the massive tau lepton\, these decays are sensitive
to new physics having an enhanced coupling to the tau lepton\, such as
the charged Higgs boson in type-II Two-Higgs-Doublet Model. Using the
clean environment of e^+ e^- collisions at the center-of-mass energy of
10.58 GeV\, Belle has established two measurements of B -> tau nu and
three B -> D(*) tau nu measurements with the full data sample. In this
presentation\, results from these measurements will be reviewed.\n\nhttps:

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: WATANABE\, Ryotaro ()\nIt has been long-standing that
measurements of B -> D(*) tau nu deviate from SM predictions. There have
been lots of studies for new physics which can accommodate the

the deviation in -> D(*) tau nu with the use of\; (i) q^2 distribution

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: ALONI\, Daniel ()\nExperimental measurements of the
 ratios R(D(*))=Gamma(B -> D(*) tau nu) / Gamma(B -> D(*) l nu) (l=e\, mu)
show a 3.9 sigma deviation from the Standard Model prediction. In the
absence of light right-handed neutrinos\, a new physics contribution to b
 -> c tau nu decays necessarily modifies also b-bar b -> tau^+ tau^- and/or
  c-bar c -> tau^+ tau^- transitions. These contributions lead to violation
of lepton flavor universality in\, respectively\, Upsilon and psi
leptonic decays. We analyze the constraints resulting from measurements of
the leptonic vector-meson decays on solutions to the R(D(*)) puzzle.
Available data from BaBar and Belle can already disfavor some of the new
physics explanations of this anomaly. Further discrimination can be made
by measuring Upsilon(1S\,2S\,3S) -> tau tau in the upcoming Belle II exper

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: BERNLOCHNER\, Florian ()\nSemileptonic B meson decays
into the four lightest excited charmed meson states (D∗0\, D∗1\, D1\,
and D∗2) and their counterparts with s quarks are investigated\,
including the full lepton mass dependence. We derive the standard model
predictions for the differential branching fractions\, as well as
predictions for the ratios of the semi-tauonic and light lepton
semileptonic branching fractions. These can be systematically improved
using future measurements of the total or differential semileptonic rates
to e and μ\, as well as the two-body hadronic branching fractions with a
pion\, related by factorization to the semileptonic rate at maximal
recoil. To illustrate the different sensitivities to new physics\, we
explore the dependence of the ratio of semi-tauonic and light-lepton
branching fractions on the type-II and type-III two-Higgs-doublet model
parameters\, tanβ and m±H\, for all four states.\n\nhttps://arxiv.org/ab

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: GRELJO\, Admir ()\nWe study the implications of the
long-standing anomaly in semi-tauonic B meson decays for direct searches
with ATLAS and CMS detectors at the LHC. We first identify collider
signatures at high energies correlated with the anomaly at low energies.
Several representative models put forward to explain the anomaly are
examined in details: color-neutral vector triplet\, 2HDM\, scalar and
vector leptoquark model. We find that in general di-tau searches impose
serious challenge to new physics explanations of the anomaly. After
recasting present 8 and 13 TeV analyses stringent limits are set on all
the models. Future projections are also derived.\n\nhttps://agenda.hepl.ph

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: GRINSTEIN\, Benjamin ()\nWe investigate a new
constraint on new-physics interpretations of the anomalies observed in B

constraint is obtained by demanding that the rate for B_c -> tau nu does
not exceed the fraction of the total width that is allowed by the
calculation of the lifetime in the standard model. The new constraint
renders a scalar interpretation of the enhancement measured in R_D^*
implausible. We also discuss the complementarity of R_{D^{(*)} and a
measurement of the longitudinal polarization of the tau in the B -> D^*

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: HARA\, Koji ()\nWe are developing the MC event
generator of B->D(*)taunu decays including new physics effects as a evtgen
decay module for the Belle/BelleII physics analysis\, based on the
 theoretical calculation by M. Tanaka and R. Watanabe\, PhysRevD87\, 034028
(2013). We report some results of the developed generator.\n\nhttps://age

DESCRIPTION:Speakers: SMITH\, Mark ()\nGiven on behalf of the LHCb
collaboration:\n\nShould the discrepancy between theoretical predictions
and measurements of R(D*) and R(D) persist with new data at LHCb and Belle
II it will be important to measure lepton non-universality in transitions
other than b->c in order to characterise the underlying physics causes.
With the large dataset of semi-leptonic decays collected by LHCb in Run 1
and Run 2 even modes that are not CKM favoured are able to be probed. Here
a proposal for such a measurement at LHCb with a b->u transition via
B->pplnu will be presented. Such an analysis will probe different and
complementary physics to the previous R(D) and R(D*) measurements. The
steps towards a measurement of R(ppbar) at LHCb will be outlined with the
 experimental and theoretical challenges highlighted.\n\nhttps://agenda.hep
