The current status of experiment and theory of tau lepton hadronic decays is considered. We begin with decays into the even number of pions. Spectra and branching fractions of such tau lepton decays are compared to the data on the corressponding e+e- cross sections using conserved vector current. Implications of this comparison for the muon anomalous magnetic moment are discussed. A brief review of the decays into the odd number of pions is also presented. |
